Harvested from a beautiful maple forest just outside of Duluth, Minnesota. The hard freeze over night and thaw during the day are optimal for drawing the sap out of the trees. The 2010 season began in early March when temperatures warmed enough to thaw the maple trees and begin sending sap from the roots up to the branches.
"This season's maple run was characterized by our earliest beginning date yet, as well as the greatest amount in the shortest time. By the beginning of April, we had produced over 700 gallons of light and medium amber maple syrup".
